The Effects of Organization-based Self-esteem and Organizational Justice on Turnover Intention of Care Workers in Elderly Nursing Homes - Focusing on Mediator of Job Embeddedness

Abstract
This research purports to examine turnover intention care workers in elderly nursing homes and to identify how job embeddedness mediates organization-based self-esteem, organizational justice. To validate the suggested model, care workers in Seoul, Kyonggi elderly nursing homes were selected purposively to survey for this study. The research findings showed that the turnover intention of the care workers scored 3.78 out of 5 point scale. Organization-based self-esteem and fit, sacrifice of job embeddedness had a direct influence on turnover intention, and at the same time, fit of job embeddedness was proven to be an important mediator between organization-based self-esteem, organizational justice and turnover intention. And Sacrifice of job embeddedness was proven to be a mediator between organizational justice and turnover intention. As a result, this research suggested possible ways for practical intervention to promote job embeddedness and to reduce turnover intention for care workers in elderly nursing homes.
